I have over 12 years of quickbooks transaction history. Is there a way to hide or close the old data that would not be able to be viewed any more or generate report from? I am not talking about setting a closing date and password. With that everything can still be viewed but only requires a PW to make changes for prior to closing date. I was wondering if I can make the history to be history and transactions, payroll, expenses etc not be viewable, because is done with and new accountant or bookkeers don't need to know it.
Thanks for the answer to my question. When I tried to condense, it says that it will also change the online. Is it talking about online payroll data? I only use assisted payroll, which my desktop is synched to what intuit assisted payroll keeps, not using the online quickbook. So is condensing my desktop data going to affect payroll data that QB assisted payroll has? Thanks
