How to log in two separate entities at the same time?

Hello - My company acquired another company that is also on QuickBooks. We use the same email and password. However, we can only log into one company at one time, even if it's on a different browser. It's not efficient for us to constantly switch between the two companies. Is there a way to open the two companies at the same time?

Let's make sure you'll be able to log in to a different company on another browser, switch entity without log out.

Normally, remembering your username and password is done in your browser settings. You may have saved your password that's why it automatically directs you to the same company file. You'll want to use a private browser (incognito) to log in to a different company.  Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl + Shift P (Firefox).
  • Control Option + P (Safari).

Aside from that, you can also use other browsers such as Edge other than Chrome. I've tried this on my end and it works. Please see the attached screenshot below:

The first company that you're seeing above was opened on Chrome, while the other was on Edge. Furthermore,  learn how to customize reports so you'll know the different aspects of your business and get the information you need. I've added this article for your guide: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.
