Quickbooks Budgeting is not currently working. How are we supposed to work around this issue in our company? Not create budgets?

I've seen a couple of similar cases about customers getting a spinning circle or errors when creating budgets in QuickBooks Online. Our Engineering Team are already working to determine the cause of the issue.

The data that I need to track is from a federal award and the award period is different than my companies fiscal year.
Are there any suggestions on whether to load the budget according to the fiscal year or grant period?

Yes, QuickBooks Online has a counterpart for creating budgets, and it's available in the Plus and Advanced plans. If you're using Essentials or Simple Start, you can upgrade.
