I accidentally created a new "company" profile. That wasn't what I wanted to do but there doesn't seem to be any way to delete it. How do I get rid of it?

I understand the urgency of removing the newly created account from your existing companies, Margaret. Let me provide the details to remove it.

In your Settings, you can access a feature to view your billing and subscription details and cancel the account. However, you didn't specify which account you accidentally subscribed to. Is it QuickBooks Online? If so, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to Settings and then select Subscriptions and billing.
  2. From your billing plan, hit Cancel.
  3. Hit the Continue to cancel button.

Please note that cancelling the account doesn't mean it has been deleted. You can choose to hide the account from your existing companies, ensuring it remains concealed from all active companies. See this video snippet for reference:

To permanently delete it, you can submit a request through your Intuit Account online portal. Here’s how:

  1. From the Data & privacy menu, select Delete.
  2. Click Make a delete request.
  3. Review the account email and choose Continue.
  4. Every company has an associated box; ensure to check account's box, then hit Continue.

  5. Check the I understand what'll happen after my data is deleted and I want to send this request box.
  6. Click Delete this data.

I've added a reference for you to review additional details: Cancel your subscription.

For future edits to your account information, such as company address, login credentials, and payment method, this article can help: Manage your Intuit Account online.
