I am having trouble linking my checking account. The login info is correct

Helping you link your TXN bank is my priority, farm-n-frame-gma. Let's get started.

To ensure you're linking the correct bank, let's log in to the bank's website. Once signed in, copy the bank URL and use it for searching the correct account in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, click Transactions and choose Banking.
  2. On the Banking page, select the Link account.
  3. In the Search field, enter the TXN bank's URL (example: http://www.chase.com).
  4. Select your bank. If you see multiple options, you may have to repeat these steps to find the correct one.
  5. Enter your bank login on your bank's website, then select Continue.

Once connected, QuickBooks will automatically download your most recent transactions. I recommend categorizing your transactions. Also, you can match them to the existing entries in the software. Doing so will help you ensure the accuracy of your financial records.

For banking-related concerns and articles, you can go through this write-up: Bank feeds. This will provide you with links on how to resolve banking errors as well as other steps on how to reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please know that I'm just a post away should you need anything else. I'm always here to help and ensure that your questions are addressed accordingly. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, farm-n-frame-gma.

I am having trouble linking my checking account. The login info is correct

When I get to where it says: Select Bank Account, there is a check mark, but the 'Continue Button' doesn't highlight, so I can't continue

Welcome to the Community, @paulsym00. I'm here to ensure you can continue connecting your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Normally, selecting the correct bank account and entering the correct credentials on your bank's website enables you to click the Continue button so you can proceed with the connection. In your case, you might be experiencing some browser issues.

To isolate this, I recommend accessing your QBO account using an incognito window. It enhances privacy and prevents your browsing history, cookies, and other data from being stored on your device which causes the software to act weirdly.

You can also use other supported browsers to learn what browsers need for the best experience when using QuickBooks. You can use these shortcut keys to access an incognito window:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you're able to continue the connection and successfully link your account, I suggest categorizing your transactions and putting them in the right accounts. After that, it's also recommended to reconcile your accounts every month to make sure they match your bank and credit card statements.
