I am using Quickbooks in Costa Rica and need to put a value in the State field of the company address that is not in the drop-down list which only contains USA states?

I'll share some information about adding Costa Rican address to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. If you're subscribed to the QBO US version, the address field will require US details such as the state and ZIP code. This address will be used to calculate applicable taxes for your QBO subscription and is your default company address.

In your case, you'll want to cancel your QBO US version and subscribe to the Costa Rica version of QuickBooks.

To cancel:

1. Go to Gear.
2. Choose Account and settings.
3. Select the Billing & Subscription tab.
4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
5. Follow the onscreen steps that'll guide you through the rest.

After canceling, visit our website to re-subscribe and reactivate your QBO Cost Rica version. Scroll down towards Select Country section and choose Other Countries or Select your Country. Please know that you can use the same email address, user name, and password when signing up. See the image below.
