I can’t find how to add a Standard user to my QuickBooks Online Essentials account. Any ideas? Also don’t see how to add accountant.

I can’t find how to add a Standard user to my QuickBooks Online Essentials account. Any ideas? Also don’t see how to add accountant.

Good afternoon, nancy45.

 

I'm here to help you in adding your accountant and standard user to your QuickBooks Accountant. 

 

We can set up access for your accountant to QuickBooks in the Account and Settings. This way, it will be easy for both of you to work together. I'll guide you how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage users.
  3. Click the Add user button, then select Company Admin
  4. Select This user is my accountant.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Enter your accountant’s name and email, then hit Save.

Once done, your accountant will get an email with instructions to access your company. Please know that we can only have  one accountant user and this doesn’t count toward your user limit.

 

You can follow the steps below in inviting a standard user:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage users.
  3. Click the Add user button, then select Standard user
  4. Select Next.
  5. Enter the user's name and email, then hit Save.
