I can't log onto my quickbooks desktop to get my license number

We can reset your password so you can log in and access your company file. Here's how:

1. Go to the QuickBooks Desktop Login window.
2. Click I forgot my password. 
3. From the drop-down lists, select an email address. So, you'll be emailed a token to reset your password.
4. Enter the token you received.
   

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks 2019 and earlier, you'll have to fill out the information on the form. You can log in to the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS) to find and get the information asked when resetting the password. From there, you can get the license number for the version of QuickBooks Desktop you’re using.

Also, you can stay logged in to your company file without entering your password.

My computer had an issue and had to have a part replaced. The computer shut down and could not open computer. Best Buy replaced the part needed and it is working fine now but I can not get into my Quick Books Pro 2016. I have moved and the disk and information on the license number and product number so I can not access my quick books accounting software. I need to open my QuickBooks Pro 2016 to be able to write checks and use the software. Can anyone help me? I need to open the Quick Books Accounting software.

Before we begin, would you mind telling me more about it? Like, have you encountered any errors when trying to access QuickBooks on your computer? Additional details will help me check the cause of this. A screenshot would be a great help too.

Let's update your QuickBooks Desktop 2016 to the latest release to avoid experiencing odd behavior in the process. 

Once done, create a backup copy of your 2016 version. Note: You can put the backup on a flash drive or an external device. Or you can share it if your new computer is on the same network.

QuickBooks Desktop 2023 version helps you have a better experience and ensure you always have the latest features and fixes. 

We can download the latest version from our official website. Here's how:

1. Go to the Downloads & Updates page.
2. Click the standard setup link.
3. Select the country, product, & version (2023).
4. Click the Search button.
5. Hit Download.
6. Restart your computer after installed successfully.

Afterward, we can now restore the file to your 2023 version.

1. Go to the File menu and select Open or Restore Company.
2. Select Restore a backup copy and then Next.
3. Select Local Backup and then Next.
4. Browse your computer for your backup company file. It should look like this: [Your company name].qbb.
5. Select a folder to decide where to save your restored company file. Then select Open.
6. When you're ready, select Save. If you see any messages about possibly overwriting your data, select the option that best fits your needs. Don't overwrite anything unless you know you want to.

After successfully installing it, prepare your product and license number. Then you can now activate the QBDT program using this resource: Activate QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
