I can't move my data over from Desktop to QB online using export to on line. File is very small but when it completes, it saves it - goes nowhere. Thoughts?

Hey there, @jskrilow.

When migrating to an existing account, you'll have to make sure that you haven't added any transactions yet. Doing otherwise will cause situations like this that will do nothing after the migration is complete as QuickBooks will only move to a blank QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

On the other hand, if you created a new one, I'd suggest checking your email for the confirmation stating that you've created an account. It also includes instructions that will guide you on how to log in.

You can also refer to this article on how to fix problems when moving your data: How to fix errors when converting from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

@jskrilow

There are some points to be clear

1. Did you migrate from any supporting QBD US version (2018-2020)?

2. Did you migrate to QBO US version?

3. Make sure your Total Targets are below 350K prior to migrate. Condense it if required.
