The app's data may be corrupted and it might be the reason why you're unable to open QuickBooks on your laptop. To isolate this, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the QBO application.

To uninstall the application, here’s how:

1. Go to the home screen of your device.
2. Hold down the QuickBooks app until the option to uninstall shows up.
3. Tap to uninstall the app.

To re-install the app:

1. Go to the Play Store (for Android devices) or App Store (for IOS devices).
2. Search for the QuickBooks app.
3. Tap Install.

However, if you access QuickBooks in a web browser, I'd recommend clearing the cache of the browser that you're using. You might also be experiencing some browser hiccups. Once you visit a website, the cache will store the information which can take up space on the computer's memory. If it's overloaded, it can cause unexpected results.

In cases like that, you'll want to perform some basic troubleshooting. Start with logging into your account through a private browser:

• Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
• Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you can open QuickBooks successfully, we'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to get rid of the accumulated site data. Otherwise, try using other supported browsers.

The new password system re: a QB code isn't working

I want to ensure you're able to access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

The code may be expired, or you've requested code multiple times, and the code entered isn't the right one. That's the reason why QuickBooks code isn't working. 

To isolate the issue, I suggest logging in to your QBO account again. Then, request a code for once. Wait for the code to receive and enter the code. Check to see how it works. 

If the issue persists, I'd like to verify if you have encountered a specific error why the code isn't working? I appreciate you providing any additional information so I can give the most accurate details.
