The app's data may be corrupted and it might be the reason why you're unable to open QuickBooks on your laptop. To isolate this, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the QBO application.

However, if you access QuickBooks in a web browser, I'd recommend clearing the cache of the browser that you're using. You might also be experiencing some browser hiccups. Once you visit a website, the cache will store the information which can take up space on the computer's memory. If it's overloaded, it can cause unexpected results.
In cases like that, you'll want to perform some basic troubleshooting. Start with logging into your account through a private browser:

To isolate the issue, I suggest logging in to your QBO account again. Then, request a code for once. Wait for the code to receive and enter the code. Check to see how it works.
