I can help you sort this out, @usersdearing.

You can try updating your billing information in the Billing & Subscription page in CAMPS.

Here's how to update your credit card information:

  1. Go to this page: camps.intuit.com.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.
  3. Click the Billing Information section.
  4. Update your credit card information.
  5. Click Save and close.

Just make sure to use a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or a Discover credit card. Also, the card must also have a US-based billing address. You can browse this article for more information on what can we do on the CAMPS page: What are CAMPs and how do I use it?

Come and visit us again if you have other questions about managing your account. It will be my pleasure. Stay safe and have a great day ahead!

I am having the same problem. I sign in as admin but cannot edit credit card info. Says only admin can do this. Uh, I am the only one who EVER logs onto my account. WTH? I loggged into  camps.intuit.com and got the same error that only the admin can make changes.  I am about to get locked out of my payroll service and in a slight panic.

I can help you update your billing information, RedSunset.

We can try using different ways on how to run as admin. To start, save your work and then close your company file. In your desktop, right-click on the QuickBooks Desktop icon. Select Run as Administrator. This opens your company file as usual and allows you to update your billing information.

Before you start making changes, I'd suggest updating QuickBooks Desktop to its latest release. Then, you can use this reference in updating your payroll billing information

If you still get the same thing, I'd suggest getting in touch with our Desktop Payroll Support Team. They'll be able to update your billing information in a secure environment.

Here's how:

  1. From the Help menu, choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click on the Contact Us information.
  3. Enter a brief description of your concern and then click Continue.
  4. Choose the best way you'll want to connect with us.

Once updated, you can run the latest payroll tax table

I'm just here if there's anything else that you need help with. You take care!

Hello @453214,

You have several options to try and recover your account after being locked out. Let me help share them and get you back to business in no time.

To start with, you'll be asked to enter a code and your correct credentials after attempting to login 5 times. Or you can reset your username and password if needed by clicking the I forgot my user ID or Password link.

That being said, here's an article you can read with the things you can do after being locked out: What to do when you are locked out of your account?

Additionally, I've also included this helpful reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Account Management for QuickBooks Online.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to assist you. Stay safe!

I cannot update or edit my billing information to update credit card info for payroll subscription as I'm both an authorized and primary user.

I log in to my account ( which I am primary administrator) and cannot edit any credit card information.  I called the Desktop Help and got them to update my  credit card information but now my QB Desktop payroll keeps saying update credit card information.  When I log in it will not allow me access and it is saying that I am logged in as another user.  I have tried logging in to my QBs as the administrator and it shows no information under credit card.  I have my payroll subscription renewal coming soon and I'm not sure if I will be current or not.  Very Frustrated for sure as I need to have access to my account and be able to edit the information.  I was told that the online account would have to be fix by the back end customer service.  I was on the phone with Desktop Customer Service for over an hour and was told that I would get a call back.  I have not received a call and have had no resolution to my problem.

I have tried a large number of attempts to update the primary user password without success and now believe

that I'm locked out since all I get is a blank screen.

I did try to log in and change my C Card info and received a message Access Denied. To log in as the primary user, only I do not have the correct password. I used the password for my Online Merchant account as well without success.  When trying to update the password after receiving a code, I receive a blank screen.  I believe I have made too many attempts and now logged out.

Hello there, How do I update the email addres. I appreciate your input from every angle, and I can see the urgency of getting this resolved.

To start, let's reset your password since you're having trouble logging in to your account. Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. At the login window, click I forgot my password
  3. Click OK.

If you've encountered an error when resetting your password, this time, let's try using the Automated Password Reset tool.

  1. Download the Automated password tool for QuickBooks Desktop
  2. Choose your QuickBooks version on the Version drop-down arrow.
  3. A product information window should pop up. Enter your QuickBooks business information, then click Next when you are finished.
  4. Accept the license agreement and hit Download. If it asks you to Run or Save the file, choose Save and save it to your Desktop. And the email that contains the access token will be sent to only the same address you originally entered.
  5. From the QuickBooks Desktop Products drop-down, select the same version.
  6. Select Browse for Company File, locate the file, and enter the correct Company File Admin User Name
  7. Enter your New Password and then Confirm New Password.
  8. Tap Reset Password to complete the process.

For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Use the Automated Password Reset Tool for QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know if you can get logged in successfully. I'll be here if you need further assistance. Have a great day!

QB says they won't support my 2017 version and locked me out.  I've spent 3 DAYS going around and around trying to update our company online subscription and called over a dozen #s all of which go to the same message which says you can't speak with anyone anymore.  I AM BEYOND UPSET!!!!!

I'm delighted to help you figure this out, @cpmljs.

This isn't the impression I want you to have with our QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) product and our Customer Care Team. I'll do take note of all your experience and send this to the appropriate channels so you're able to reach a point of resolution as quickly as possible.

To be able to update your subscription, I'd recommend manually updating your QBDT account to the latest release (2020 or 2021). Let me show you the two options in updating the company:

Option 1:

  1. Open your QBDT account, then go to the Help menu
  2. Select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Pick Get Updates to start the download.
  4. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks and install the new release.

Option 2:

  1. Go to the Downloads & Updates page.
  2. Choose Country, Product, and Version
  3. Click Search and tap Download.
  4. Open it and enter your Admin credential.

You may refer to this article: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Once done, you can now update your subscription form there because locked out will be lifted. You can follow the steps above outlined by IamjuViel

Furthermore, are you trying to convert your QBDT to QuickBooks Online? If so, please check these articles below for your later reference.

Let me know if you have further questions about your subscription. I'm pleased to support you. Be safe.
