You can try accessing your QuickBooks Self-Employed account using a browser. This is to help isolate if the issue related to the stored cache on the app.
If you're able to log in to your account, you may go back to the app and perform any the following process to refresh its connection:
If doing this doesn't make a difference, I recommend resetting your log in credentials by click on the Forgot User ID button at the bottom. Please see the screenshot for reference:
