Hello vicenzo,

We have a way to associate your multiple companies under a single login credentials. Here's a quick overview of what you'll need to do:

  1. Send an invite to the other company.
  2. Change the Master Admin of the other company.

For the detailed steps, it'd be best to check out this article: Sign in to multiple QuickBooks Online companies with one user ID.

Feel free to get back to us if you have questions with the process. Have a great day!

Hi. thank you. They are already under the same login credentials.

What I am trying to do is perform a consolidation of the two sets of financial statements (for reporting purposes). Is there a consolidation tool/option I can use?

Thank you

Hello @vincenzo,

You'll want to check for third-party applications so you can consolidate your reports. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to https://apps.intuit.com
  2. In the Search by app name, keyword, job, or category field, type "Consolidate report".
  3. Review each applications overview and benefits. When you're ready, click Get app now.
  4. Follow the steps that will guide you through the rest.

I'm also attaching our page about reports and accounting in case you need some additional references.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Please know that we're always here for you. Have a lovely week ahead.

Hello there, kkkkkkkkkkk.

The option to consolidate a report for more than one QuickBooks account isn't available. However, you can look for a third-party application integrated with QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to this page: apps.intuit.com.
  2. Type Consolidate report in the Search by app name, keyword, job, or category field.
  3. Review each application and when you find one, click Get app now.
  4. Continue with the on-screen instructions to successfully get the app.

You can also check this article that talks about reports and accounting in QuickBooks: Reports and Accounting.

I'm just a post-away if you still need help. Keep safe!

I tried the trial version but it does not have  the features like it even shows bill that are already paid and we dont need them to be seen in bill option. you cant select 2 or 3 features at a time. Do you have any other apps or solution for this.

Thanks for coming back and performing the recommended solutions provided by my colleague, kkkkkkkkkkk.

Every business is unique, and that's why we don't make specific recommendations on what application to use when consolidating your report. For any questions or concerns about the integration, it would be best to contact the third-party app provider. From there, they'll provide detailed information about syncing or integrating the consolidated reports from the app into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I've got a link here that provides you with articles about managing your reports in QBO: Setting up reports to customize, run, and share.

The Community will always have your back if you need a hand with running your business in QBO. Assistance is just one post away. Take care always.

You may filter any data as required and export them out to XLS. TP is a migration tool and you still need Excel to consolidate the data.

Let me guide you on how to generate the Ledger report you need, kkkkkkkkkkk.

A General Ledger report shows a list of transactions from all accounts for a specific date range. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can customize the report to add a column for both customers and vendors. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Reports on the left side menu.
  2. Enter General Ledger in the search field.
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. Tick the Change columns link under the Rows/Columns section.
  5. Place a checkmark on the Customer and Vendor on the list.
  6. Press Run report.

To learn more about customizing reports, see Customize reports in QuickBooks Online article.

I have a link here that provides you with articles about managing your reports in your account: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/reports/07?product=QuickBooks%20Online.

I'm just one click away if you need a hand with exporting your reports or any QBO related. I'm always here to help. Have a great day ahead.

Hi kkkkkkkkkkk,

I can see that we have a mix of scenarios here. Let me restate to simply them. You have a client with multiple companies, and their customer in Company A is also their vendor in Company B. Now, you want to consolidate the A/R and A/P reports of this vendor/customer from both companies into a single report.

Basically, we're unable to consolidate reports from different companies within the QuickBooks company interface. However, aside from using a third-party app, as stated by Fiat Lux - ASIA, you can also generate an A/R and an A/P report from the respective QBO companies and export them to Excel. Then, copy and paste them to a single sheet.

Running the A/P Aging Detail report and exporting it to Excel:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Search for Accounts Payable Aging Detail and click the suggestion.
  3. Change the date range.
  4. Click on Customize and go to the Filter section.
  5. In the Vendor droplist, choose the name of that specific vendor.
  6. Click on Run Report.
  7. Click the Export icon between the Mail and the Gear icons.
  8. Choose Export to Excel.

Running the A/R Aging Detail report and exporting it to Excel:

  • Follow the same steps above. In Step 5, filter the name of the customer instead of the vendor.

You can format your reports like displaying the A/R details at the top and the A/P details at the bottom.

Check out also our video tutorial about customizing reports for your additional reference.

Also, leave that consolidation thing aside for a moment. Just let me know within the same company a client who is a customer and a vendor..

I have two companies (i.e. two quickbooks accounts) and I am trying to consolidate the financials of both companies. How do I do that in Quickbooks?

I appreciate the clarifications that you gave, @kkkkkkkkkkk.

The reports shared by my peer JessT above will provide the details on how much you owe to your vendor/customer, and how much they owe to you.

Moreover, you can also pull up the Balance Sheet report and customize the A/R and the A/P account for the specific vendor/customer. This way, you'll be able to see your income and expenses for the said vendor/customer.

To do that:

  1. Click on Reports at the left pane.
  2. Key in Balance Sheet in the search box.
  3. Select the Report period.
  4. Hit on the total amount for the Accounts Receivable
  5. Click on Customize at the top of the Transaction Report
  6. Tap on the Filter drop-down arrow.
  7. Put a check mark on the Customer box and select the name of the customer.
  8. Press on Run report

You may follow the same procedure to run the payables for your vendor. Just select the total amount for the Accounts Payable and filter the vendor's name.

If you want to have this data on a single sheet, you have the option to export the data to Excel and modify it from there. Just follow the instructions presented above on how to export them.

To give you more details about the different reports that you can pull up in QuickBooks Online, you can check out this link: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

I got you covered if there's anything else that you need. I'll make sure you're all set. Take care!

I have two companies (i.e. two quickbooks accounts) and I am trying to consolidate the financials of both companies. How do I do that in Quickbooks?

Hi there, kkkkkkkkkkk.

Thank you for coming back and for providing additional concerns.

Currently, merging two company data files into one company is not available in QuickBooks Online. Since each company is created as a separate file, you can manually input the data into the company you want to keep. You can also integrate a 3rd party app to sync data from QuickBooks files in many locations. This allows you to consolidate and compare companies easily.

Here's how:

  1. Click Apps in the left navigation menu.
  2. Click the Browse Category drop-down menu, select Sync Data.
  3. Select the app you want to integrate.
  4. Click Get App Now and complete the following on-screen instructions.

On the other hand, generating a single report to show both customers and suppliers from two companies isn't an option in QuickBooks. You'll need to open each report from the respective QBO companies. You can follow the steps provided by Jess and Betty above for additional details. However, QuickBooks Online has a Class or Location tracking feature. These two options lets you run through account balances by department, business office or location, separate properties, or any other meaningful breakdown of your business, and other segments you want to keep a close eye on.

Please refer to this article on how you can add multiple companies to your QuickBooks Online account: Create or add another company.
