I laid off my only employee and tried to cancel the QB Online Payroll Core Subscription. It did not work.

When canceling your QuickBooks Payroll Core Subscription, you'll need to ensure you have Master or Company Administrator access to the account. If you're already the Master or Company Administrator, I'd recommend accessing your account using a private window and log in from there. This way, we'll know if the problem is browser-related. Sometimes cache and temporary internet files from previously visited websites can take up space and affect the system's performance.
If the issue continues to occur, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Payroll Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account and investigate the cause of the issue. They can also cancel your Payroll Subscription for you.
