I lost my access to Quickbooks Online at the same time when one of other user was deleted. What should I do to recover my access?

I am primary admin and my name is listed on Manage users screen, but I cannot sign in with my email address and password. I tried to get me invited with the same email address but I couldn't.

I lost my access to Quickbooks Online at the same time when one of other user was deleted. What should I do to recover my access?

May I know if the role of your username under Manage Users is the primary admin, Yamada? If so, please double-check that the email address you entered is correct and free of typos. Let's dive into the steps to help you recover your access and get things back on track.

Losing access to your credentials happens due to a change in user management settings within QuickBooks Online. Deleting another user could inadvertently trigger changes that affect system access, even for the primary admin.

To recover your access, we can reset your password, confirm your email address in the Manage Users section, or submit a request to reclaim your primary admin role through Intuit to recover your Intuit Account.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to our sign-in help page.
  2. Enter the Phone Number, email address, or User ID for your account.
  3. If you enter a phone number or email address, we'll send you a text or email with a verification code. If you enter a user ID, choose which method you prefer.
  4. Enter the Verification Code sent to you.
  5. Follow the instructions in the message. We may ask you for a little more info to make sure it's you.
  6. When prompted, reset your password. Or you can select Skip.

Once you're back in your account, you can change the email address, phone number, and password. If you haven't already, we recommend adding a phone number to your account to receive verification codes from us for future sign-in attempts.

Moreover, please know that only the primary admin can send invitations, and you can't add another user with the same email.
For more information on what to do if you can't sign in to your Intuit Account, refer to this article: Recover your Intuit Account if you can’t sign in.

If you still can't access your account as primary admin, I recommend submitting a request to be the primary admin. To do that, please refer to this article for complete guidance: Request to be the primary admin or contact.

Furthermore, these articles help secure your information, provide extra authentication methods for identity verification, and guide you in creating custom roles for QuickBooks Online Advanced and Intuit Enterprise Suite:
