They will remove your data after 12 months. You should export your data to QB Desktop file format and utilize the trial license of it to open the file if required.

Once you cancel a subscription you will have 365 days of continued reports only access.  Reports only does not include the underlying transactions.  If you need to access an actual transaction or find the need to restart using QBO at any point within those 365 days you can simply start paying again - even if only for a month after which you could get another 365 days of limited access.

 

Once day 366 hits Intuit shreds your data never to be seen again, although I have my doubts in cases where the IRS would knock on their digital door with a subpoena for your records.  They could otherwise be considered to be complicit in trying to hide something.

 

Keep the day 366 digital shred in mind when you scan, upload and then circular file your paper receipts.
