I'm trying to change my subscription from Self-Employed to Solopreneur and am getting (Error code: -81594, type: VALIDATION_ERROR) every time. Any way around this?

I've tried to cancel my subscription as well and also get an error message.

The error code 81594 usually indicates a problem with your billing information. This could be due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or restrictions imposed by your bank on online or subscription payments. Additionally, an incorrect address or the use of special characters (such as @, #, or &) can also cause this issue.

 

To resolve this, update your billing address in Intuit to ensure it matches the records of your card issuer. Make sure to remove any special characters, save the changes, and then try again.

 

If the problem persists, refresh the page to ensure it updates properly. After that, log out of QuickBooks and then log back in.

If the issue continues, try accessing the updated interface using a different supported web browser or open a new incognito window for a fresh session. You can use the following shortcut keys for assistance:

 

  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P

No, there are no issues with the billing account. I tried using Edge and Chrome, private and standard browsing tabs. I'm still being charged for the subscription but have no way to cancel it or change it. When trying to change my subscription to Solopreneur, I get the 81594 error code. When trying to cancel my subscription entirely, I get the (Error code: PLT-2000, type: VALIDATION_ERROR).
