I need to add Payroll in my account

To get that payroll service activated, look no further! I have all the steps that you'll need, @root102.

You can activate the payroll service inside your existing QuickBooks Online account. The steps below will ensure your success:

  1. Navigate to the Workers menu and click Employees.
  2. Click Get Started, Set up Payroll or Choose your plan.
  3. Choose the type of service that you want to use.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete setting up your payroll account.

You can also check out our QuickBooks Online Payroll Hub for your benefit. It will link you to the Help articles that'll guide you through basic payroll setup and functions.

Should you need a hand about managing your payroll account, let me know in the comment section. I'd be glad to help. Have a great day!

We have provided the account and routing number for our bank but we have not received the deposits needed to verify our account.

Thanks for following this thread, EPH.

The test debit will show in your bank account in 2 business days. It should be a credit and debit for an amount less than $1.00. You can either check your bank statement or contact the financial institution to verify the amount.

Once you have it, let’s go to the Employees page to confirm the test deposit. Let me guide you on how to get there.

  1. Go to the Payroll menu on the left panel and select Employees.
  2. Click the Finish payroll tasks link.
  3. Tap the Verify the test deposit now link.
  4. Enter the test transaction amount in both boxes without a dollar sign or decimal point. For example, if the amount is $0.42, key in 42 into the boxes.
  5. Press the OK button.

Here’s an article that outlines the complete steps on how to confirm the test debit for each payroll service: Verify test transaction.

Additionally, these resources will walk you through the steps on how to verify your direct deposit status and create paychecks (DD).

I'll be right here to continue helping if you have any other concerns or questions about running payroll reports or any QuickBooks related. Assistance is just a post away. You have a good one.
