I need to cancel my subscription online and cannot get your software to acknowledge my cancellation. I do not have phone access at the moment.

I need to cancel my subscription online and cannot get your software to acknowledge my cancellation. I do not have phone access at the moment.

It's sad to know that you wish to cancel your QBO subscription, @drteresacarlson.

 

Though I'd love to take care of this myself, I'm unable to pull up your account here in the Community for security reasons. That said, I'll make sure to walk you through until we're able to cancel it successfully.

 

Before doing so, please check out this article for some important reminders: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?

 

Sometimes cache and temporary internet files stored up in the system can cause the program to misbehave. Let's open a private/incognito window and use it to access QBO. 

 

Check out these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)
  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)

Once done, go to the Account and Settings and perform these steps.

  1. Pick Billing and Subscription on the left.
  2. Choose Cancel in the QuickBooks section.
  3. Click Continue to Cancel and then Continue to Cancel again.
  4. Answer the exit survey and hit Confirm Cancel
