I need to provide my insurance company for an audit, my last 4 IRS 941 quarterly reports. Where do I find these? I've looked everywhere.

It's good to have you here, @rmichelli.

Let me help you locate your previously filed 941 forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please know that these filed forms are in the Filings tab in your Payroll Tax Center. Thus, there are different steps to look for manually filed and e-filed forms.

For e-filed or QBO filed for you, feel free to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Taxes in the left panel.
  2. Pick the Payroll tax.
  3. Select Filings below the Payroll Tax Center section.
  4. Click the Filter icon and choose 941.
  5. Scroll down until you reach the Archived forms and filings, where all completed tax filings and forms are ready to view and print.

For the manually filed, you'll need to archive the form first to view it. Here's how:

  1. Go to Filings in the Payroll Tax section from the Taxes tab.
  2. Select File next to the 941 tax form you want to save.
  3. Choose a period, then Archive.
  4. Go to the Filing Resources below and click the Archived Forms and Filings tab.
  5. Filter the form type into 941.
  6. Click the form name, then View.

You can get more information about finding 941 forms in this article: Access payroll tax forms and payments.

The available period for archived payroll forms only extends back for two years. If you need to retrieve a form from an earlier period, reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Also, I'm adding this article to help with your end-of-year tax filings: Year-end guide for QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have additional questions about acquiring tax forms in QBO, whether quarterly or annually. We'll be willing to help. Keep safe, and have a good one.
