You've come to the right place, wrightk.
I have just the steps that'll help reclassify all of your entries to another account.
A quick and easy way to do this is to merge the account to the account that you want to reclassify the entries to. The steps below will guide you through the process:
To merge accounts in QuickBooks Online
- Click Accounting in the left navigation menu.
- Go to the account where you want to transfer the entries and select Edit from the drop-down in the ACTION column.
- Take note of the Name and Detail Type.
- Click Save and Close.
- Look for the account where the entries are currently recorded, and choose Edit from the drop-down in the Action column.
- Change the Name and Detail Type appropriately.
- Click Save and Close, then choose Yes to confirm that you want to merge the two accounts.
Just a heads up, doing this will remove the account that was merged with the other one. If you still need to use it, then you'll need to manually edit the transaction individually to reclassify them. That said, I'm including these helpful articles that contain all of the information and the steps for each process that you may find helpful:
That should do it. With these resources, I'm confident that you'll be able to reclassify the entries like a pro in no time!
Of course, you can always reach out to me here in the Community, should you need more help with this. Thanks for dropping in, wishing you and your business only the best.
