Thanks for sharing your concern in the QuickBooks Community, @gregdynan-gmail-.
Allow me to share insights with regards to restoring backup in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Currently, the option to create backup company files and restore them is only available in the QBO Advanced subscription.
If you're using this subscription and turned on the Online Back-up and Restore app, then you can restore files from a specific date and time. Let me show you how:
If you're using a different subscription, then this feature isn't available. You'll have to manually correct your balances to ensure everything matches your real-life accounts.
For further guidance, reach out to your accountant for advice in correcting your accounts. This way, we can make sure that your books are accurate.

Thanks for the response Reymond. Unfortunately we don't have QBO Advanced. Can you offer up some guidance from here? These transactions date back over a year, is there an audit trail report that will show me all transactions that booked to the GL in order of date posted. I'm thinking all these transactions were booked on 3/31 at ~6pm (ET). Ideally I'd have the ability to do a mass delete of all transactions that posted during a certain timeframe.
Thanks
Greg
Thanks for getting back to us, @gregdynan-gmail-.
I have some information about restoring books or transactions. You can use the Audit log report to locate QuickBooks activities. You'll see who made changes to your books and what they did. Just make sure you're logging in as the account Admin.
Let me walk you through the steps:
From there, you can review the transaction details of your ledger. For more information about this feature, check out this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

Consider having a 3rd party backup restore app.

Unfortunately this did not work. I reviewed the audit log and the number of transactions that incorrectly posted on the 31st is overwhelming. I'm not even sure how I'd go about deleting/reversing those transactions. There are about 3000 transactions that go back over a year and hit several accounts. Before we go there, however, I need to ask: does the backup exist on your servers? I know I don't currently have QB Advanced, but I'd be willing to buy the backup or retroactively buy QB Advanced to retrieve this backup. Please let me know what options are available. Thanks! Greg
@ReymondO @ShiellaGraceA, he said this happened due to "an incorrect sync". How do you usually undo transactions from banks or apps? I guess that phrase is the clue.
@gregdynan-gmail-, am waiting here, too
Thanks for the clarifications, @my-answer-is-nonsense.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) runs real-time automatic backups while you're working on your company, @gregdynan-gmail-.
In case you accidentally log out from your account, you can easily get back to where you left off. Rest assured I'll help you clear those transactions. What we're going to do is exclude them in your bank feeds. I'll show you how.
You can also check this article for more details: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, I'd recommend working with your accountant for additional guidance. This way, we can ensure the accuracy of your accounts after making these changes.
