I purchased QB Desktop a year ago. I use this now for just personal use now. Instead of renewing my subscription, can i get a hard copy one time purchase to keep?
HIndsight: at the time you could have made a one-time purchase at around $200 rather than the monthly or annual subscription rate of $200+. You certainly can cancel your current Plus subscription and purchase instead an off the shelf $200+ one time purchase of desktop that will be supported for 3 years and will continue to work except for bank downloads possibly well after that.
Sounds like, no matter which way you go with desktop, you will still have a cost.
QBDT is overkill for personal finances and in fact Intuit offers a free program just for personal finances - https://www.mint.com/ and it does have advantages over quickbooks in that you can track investments and retirement accounts, something that is not a business feature in QB.
