I sold my company -- and I need to archive all the QuickBooks data (in case we need to access it in the future [via QB Online]). What export process is the best option?

My expectation is that -- if we needed to access the data (for some reason) in the future, that we would use QuickBooks Online. However, I am also open to using QuickBooks Desktop (on the Mac) -- if this is a superior option.

This appears to be tge first of 3 times you asked the same question. You may get 3 unique answers.

If you plan on accessing the data within one year you could simply cancel your subscription. Your data then exists as reports only for 365 days. Any time within that you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off.  But that is not ideal and you would have to re-sign for a month, then cancel then repeat annually.

There is no online backup accessible to view any time you wish like there is with desktop.

You cannot, yet, directly export from ABO to desktop for Mac. You will need a windows computer to export first to QB for PC then convert to QB for Mac.

utilize the trial license of QB Desktop to open the file if required.
