I upgraded but I cannot access my files

Are you having a login issues where it ask for a password but will not let you login? If so, make sure also to download QuickBooks Desktop latest release as an initial step.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Downloads & Updates page.
  2. In the Download QuickBooks Desktop page, select Country, Product, and Version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click the Get the latest updates link.

Since you've just upgraded QuickBooks, it would likely to require a password to be entered every time you access your company file for security purposes. In case the forgotten password doesn't have to do with your company file not opening, try logging into a different computer and see if you encounter the same thing.
