I want to delete my account and canceled my subscription. I always get in a loop where i am still supposed to cancel the subscription before the account can be deleted.

I have already cancelled all subscriptions. I now want to delete my data. When I do that, I get notified that there is something for me to do, and it tells me to cancel all my subscriptions. When going to the site, nothing can be cancelled, I can only resubscribe (which I don't want to). The cancellation also took place a while ago, I don't think the timeframe is the problem. SoI want to but cannot delete my data. How can I go forward? Is there an email address to contact customer support so they can check internally and possibly help me delete the data?

You can cancel your subscription directly through the settings of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper-right hand.
  2. Choose Account and Settings
  3. In the left menu, pick Billing & Subscription
  4. Hit Cancel subscription, then Continue
  5. Complete the short survey. 

Once your QBO account is cancelled, your data will be available in read-only access for 1 year and be deleted in the system from the cancellation date.

Deleting an account is generated by our system automatically after a year or two. Canceled or deleted companies have scheduled deletion posted the moment you sign in to your account. Please see attached sample image below.

 

 

 

However, you can contact our Customer Care Support to verify if the account has been canceled successfully. Here's how to reach out:

 

  1. Open your canceled account, then go to (?Help.
  2. Select Contact Us. Then, enter a brief description of your case.
  3. Hit Let's talk.
  4. Click Get a call or Start messaging.

After the following steps above, we'll automatically send the account administrator an email that confirms we canceled your subscription.

 

Please know that you'll still have read-only access for a year before we permanently delete all your data. I'd encourage printing the forms and reports you might need in the future. Additionally, if you've decided to resubscribe after a year, you will no longer have access to your previous records.
