The only real option to get all your data is to have an accountant log in and print or export to excel the general journal. (Or invite yourself as the accountant, create the log in, and log in as the accountant so you can use the accountant tools.) Due to QBO's limited data handling capability that will probably have to be done in date segments.
(Note: simple start does not have a true general journal report at all.)
QBO data handling capability for reporting is not adequate, if there is more than 5K records it times out and reports that you have too much data. You will have to do a journal report in date range segments, like Jan-Feb, Mar-Apr, etc etc.
How many months you can span per report is a guessing game since the report can not deal with more than 5K transactions.

What do you mean with "a new service"? Do you want to migrate data from QB Online to other system or else?
Yes, migrating off of Quickbooks. It looks like there isn't really a way to export data out of Quickbooks nowadays (a little unscrupulous if you ask me).
Thanks for posting here again, @jon-bexell-trans,
We respect your decision to find the services that best fit your business needs. We want to ensure your migration is seamless, however, the process of exporting data in QuickBooks at the moment has to be done manually.
Rustler pointed out the options you need to do to keep a copy of your company data.
Another option I can suggest is using a third-party application to do the transfer for you. There are a number of exporter tools you can choose from in our Apps Website. Simply search for the keyword "export" to view the available importers that works with our program. Here's the link to our site: https://desktop.apps.com/home
We also have another channel for Intuit Developers, where you can find engineers who can recommend third-party applications for you to use. Here's the link to the website: Intuit Developers Community.

You may have 2 options:
1. Utilize an exporter tool

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
