I want to start my company over again. Is there a way to make a copy that would include just client and account information without carrying over the historical data?

Yes, there is a way to export only your customers and their account information only before you start purging or starting all over. Let me show you how to export your customer's files.

Step 1: Export your List to Excel.

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company and select Reports.
2. In the Reports page, search for and enter in the search box for Customer Contact List report.
3. Customize the list report’s columns, select each report below to check how their columns should be ordered.
   
   ◘ Customer
   ◘ Company name
   ◘ Email
   ◘ Phone
   ◘ Website
   ◘ Billing Street
   ◘ Billing City
   ◘ Billing State
   ◘ Billing Zip
   ◘ Billing Country
    
4. After saving your report, export it.
5. Open the exported report in Excel.
6. Delete rows 1-4 to remove your company name and report title from the sheet.
7. Save your report again as Excel or CSV.

After you have secured the list of your customers, you can purge your company to start over or you can create another company in one account. Then after you've set-up your new details, it's time to Import your Customer's list.

Keep in mind, if your QBO account > 60 days, you are not allowed to purge it any longer. If you have to open a new QBO account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 6 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.
