Thank you for your response but the link provided takes me to QB Self-Employed. When I log in I still receive the "your trial has expired" page and it wants me to pay. As of today, TurboTax Self Employed still says I should have 1 year free and to log in with my TT account info. When I do, it says I have to pay. What is going on with QuickBooks? I've called several times but the Tier 1 support keeps sending me to this forum with circular links to log in. Clearly this is not working and something is messed up behind my user screens.
Hello, turner-chrisk-gm.
I appreciate the attempts you've done to redeem your free QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription. I have another step you can do to fix this issue.
The QuickBooks Self-Employed website might still be using the old login data (not a cache issue). In this case, log out all of your accounts from QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax. Then, log in to https://selfemployed.intuit.com/turbotax using your TurboTax account (the one that offered the free QBSE subscription).
If that doesn't work, then we'll need to take a look at the system and see what's preventing you from redeeming the free subscription. I'd recommend contacting our support again. If you still have the case number from an agent, you'll want to give it to the next one. They'll read the notes and continue the troubleshooting steps without starting all over again.
If you need help how to reach them again, you can follow the steps in this article: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.
After successfully getting the subscription, you can check out our articles if you need help managing your QBSE account.
Do you have other concerns or questions for QuickBooks Self-Employed? Please let me know and I'll help you out.
I have been using QB self-employed free for a year version this year I used it as late as last month. however now it is saying that my subscription has ended as of April of this year. I should have it till April of last year. Not sure why it says my subscription has ended. Please help me fix As I need to prepare for taxes.
Thank you in advance.

This is entirely unhelpful. I can't access an assistant if I'm not logged in. I can't log in because the service that I was given as part of Turbo Tax deal is exhibiting the same problem that everyone above is also having. I can't chat because I can't log in. I can't find help because your links send me in no direction to access it. Please proactively investigate the issue and send emails with resolutions. Fix this, I use this professionally. I have invoices I can't access. I have customers that are in this system . This needs to be resolved now. This needs o be addressed now. And corrected so we can see the correction.
Can't access a human. Can't access a call back. Can't log in. Can't use the software for self employed that I started through Turbo Tax. SAME ISSUE as all the others. No way to utilize all the nice suggestions here. NONE OF THEM WORK. No assistant tab, no human, no chat, only option is to come back here to this entirely unhelpful thread with its entirely unhelpful suggestions. I have clients that I invoice through this. I have a business to run. I can't access past invoices. I can't access any help. Please proactively fix this situation and stop send general links to unhelpful FAQs or paths to things that just circle back here. The test drive doesn't work. The assistant tab doesn't exist. The chat doesn't work. The help is non existent. This wasn't a fun free toy for me to play with, this was a program I, mistakenly obviously, counted on as a professional product. Please fix. Please do NOT offer up the same unhelpful links and general info. Please don't offer avenues to service that don't actually exist.
Hello all! I first want to thank you for sharing your experience with us so that we could investigate further. Our engineering team recently identified a bug that caused some QuickBooks Self Employed subscriptions to expire early. They are working on a fix as we speak and will have your access restored as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'll be here to answer them!
I am experiencing the same issue, I hope this gets resolved soon.
Thanks for bringing this one to our attention. danoakes.
We have an ongoing investigation about the QuickBooks Self Employed expiration issue. Rest assured, our engineering team is working on a fix and will have access restored as possible. We'll work to update the thread when the issue is resolved.
Feel free to visit our Account management page for more insight about managing your Intuit Account.
We appreciate your patience in this matter. I'll also keep an eye on the issue and will get back to you if there's an update. Wishing you the best.
Good morning everyone! Thank you again for your continued patience while we work on the fix for your accounts. The engineering team confirmed the fix last night and is currently rolling it out to all impacted users as we speak, so if you aren't already, you'll be back up and running very soon!
Again, no need to contact support. If you were impacted, the fix will automatically apply to you.
I'll swing back here to let everyone know as soon as this is complete for everyone.
Absolutely none of this worked and I ended up spending about 4 hours on the phone with a rep and basically had to wear them down to just give me a credit on the account... but I had to pay for it first. I think these responses are pathetic and this issue only gained real attention once others had the issue.
This solution was not resolved here and months ago I had to sit on the phone for about 4 hours one day and wear the account rep down to the point where I just bought the subscription and then was refunded the cost. The lack of attention provided to me was pathetic here and now all of a sudden y'all care.
So I raised this issue in September of 2020, you are just now finding a bug and creating a resolution. What is your plan to reimburse those who had to transfer to another service because yours locked us out. What about the almost 4 months I fought with QuickBooks to regain access to my account that you held hostage? Will you be providing a 4-month credit and finder's fee for trailblazing an issue months before several others had the same issue?
Hello all! Great news! All impacted accounts have been restored and you should be able to login to QuickBooks Self Employed as normal.
Please let me know if you still experience any difficulties accessing your account and I'll be happy to look into it ASAP.
I had to buy QuickBooks since this went 4 months without resolution. What is the course of action now?
Let me help you there, @turner-chrisk-gm.
All the impacted regions have been restored, and you should see the $0/month prompt amount on the billing window. To further isolate your experience, I'd suggest running your QuickBooks account in incognito browsing mode.
From there, we can browse QuickBooks without using cache data that may have turned you unable to log in using the regular browser.
These are some of the keyboard shortcuts:
If this works, I suggest clearing the cache since it causes issues in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Lastly, make sure that the browser you're using is updated. You can also try a different supported browser.
Please let us know how it goes to assist you further. We help anytime here in the Community. Take care, turner-chrisk-gm!
I account has been restored to ending in April 2021. Thank you for the quick response!
Thank you for all of your hard work. I can access my account and of this morning. Set to expire April 2021.
