Thank you for adding a post here on the Community page, @marjie.

I can share some steps on how you can save a backup of your data for future use.

If you cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription, your data will be available in read-only access for one year from the date of cancelation. To save your data, you can export your reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online to Excel.

To export your reports and lists:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Export Data.
  2. On the Reports tab, set the date range.
  3. Add or remove items from the Reports and Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
  4. Select Export to Excel.

If you need to export a different report, you can use this article as your guide: how to export reports to Excel.

Exported reports will include the data from posting transactions such as invoices, receipts, bills, etc. balances. To export the non-posting transactions that aren't included in Reports and Lists, you can open this article and review the instructions under the Export non-posting transactions and attachments section.

Once completed, here's an article you can read more about how to cancel QuickBooks Online subscription.

Please let me know if you need further assistance with this. I've got your back and am always happy to help. Thanks for reaching out, keep safe!
