iif import error

Apparently since around the beginning of the year Quickbooks has not been correctly importing my income iif files from other software.  The income accounts not being imported are at the end of income accounts alphabetically.  Values show up for the accounts in the iif file, but there is no value in the quickbooks account.  Additionally there are no values in those accounts for past years.  I know that this started about 1/1/19 since my P&L's up until the end of last year included values for those accounts, but they do not contain values any longer, even for dates priuot to 1/1/19.

Re: iif import error

Hello there, NelsII.

I'm here to make sure you're able to import IIF files successfully.

Let's first ensure your data follows the IIF standard format. To verify this, you can check out this article: IIF Overview: import kit, sample files, and headers.

After verifying, you can open the file that was created when the import failed to check for the specif error or issue that needs to be addressed.

Once done, I'd suggest you get in touch with the third party software to assist you in resolving the error and make sure your format meets their standards.

I've also attached this article about importing data into QuickBooks for additional reference: Import/export overview.

Reach back out to me anytime if you have other questions. It'd be my pleasure to assist you.
