Im locked out of my account

I'll give you details on what you do when you're locked out of your account, kdanilson.


If you get the following message: You have tried to sign in more than 5 times, you can still continue to sign-in. Then, enter the CAPTCHA code. This is made up of characters and is used to secure your account from any unauthorised access from automated bots.


Otherwise, reset your password or recover your user ID by following these steps:


  1. In the QuickBooks Online sign-in page, click I forgot my user ID or Password.
  2. Enter your phone number, email address or user ID to verify your account. Click Continue.

I have read your instructions 100 times now!

This account is for my business and has kept me from taking CCards, it has to stop and get solved.

I even found my saved passwords & they didn't help!

The site organizes my email:  [email address removed] & phone: [removed].

I have to get this solved!

Since the steps didn't work and the issue persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team by going to the Help icon. From there, you'll have the option to choose a callback and fill in a piece of information so an expert can call you back. They can pull up your information and investigate the cause of why your account is locked out.


You can use a test drive of QuickBooks Online so that you're able to contact our Support Team since you're unable to log in to your account.



Here's how to contact them:


  1. Open your QuickBooks Account.
  2. At the top right, click the Help icon.
  3. Choose the Assistant section.
  4. Type your concern in the Type something field.
  5. Click Talk to a human.
  6. Click I still need a human.
  7. Click the Get help from a human.
  8. You'll be routed into the How can we help? page. Then, select callback or how you want to contact them and fill in the information.
