Instructions for changing user ID are wrong

Good Morning, @dan-garza

 

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. Don't worry. I've got you covered. I can provide you with the right steps to help change your User ID for your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Open QuickBooks. 
  2. Go to the profile bubble in the top right-hand corner with your initials in the middle.
  3. Select the Manage your Intuit Account hyperlink. 

 

 

       4. Press the Manage sign in & security option or click the Sign in & security tab on the left-hand menu bar. 

 

 

       5. Tap the User ID box to change it. 

 

 

       6. Enter your new User ID and your current password. 

       7. Hit Save when done. 

 

 

       8. Afterward, you can go back to your QuickBooks Online account. 

 

Now you've successfully changed your User ID through the Intuit Account Manager. For future reference, if you forget your User ID or password, check out this link that can give you more details on how to reset it.
