Hello there, @DeniseRBBD.

Thanks for getting back to us in the Community and taking the time to give feedback on one of my previous posts. I'm here to help make sure that you'll get the report that you need in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I was unable to trace what post you're referring to. That being said, I'd like to verify what report you're working on? Any additional details will be much appreciated.

In the meantime, you can also pull up the Sales by Product/Service Detail report and group it by class. Here's how:

1. Go to Reports menu at the left panel, then type Sales by Product/Service Detail on the search bar.
2. Once pulled up, choose Class on the Group By drop-down under Rows/columns section, then click Run report to refresh.

Just in case, you can also check out this article for future reference: How to customize reports.

This should answer your question. Please let me know how it goes or if you're referring to something else so I can get back to you. I'm always here to help. Take care and have a good day!

Here is a link to the on-line version of the answer: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Account-management/Can-I-run-a-transaction-report-for-the-di...

I wanted a list of just items from certain classifications. In QBO, since there's not a filter, the best I could do was a list of ALL transactions and then export to Excel where I can sort them.

It's always possible I missed something though, so I was asking.

Thank you!

Hello there, @DeniseRBBD.

I'm here to help filter the given report by my colleague @FritzF that'll only show the list of your items and classes.

Once you opened the Sales by Product/Service Detail Report, you can click on the Gear Icon at the upper right corner to select the display columns. You'll be able to sort this out depending on your preferences.
