Invalid Company Phone Number

Hello,

I tried to enter my company profile but it is always showing me error "Invalid Company Phone Number" tried to enter the phone number is different format such as 00xxxxxx or +xxxxxxx but the same issue persisting, please advise

It's nice to hear that you have the correct region selected. If you only have the option to subscribe, then it sounds like you may be in the trial phase, which means you shouldn't be billed unless you subscribe.

 

In my previous post, there's some information on how phone numbers and their formats can vary based on region. I created a test account for Oman and reviewed the screenshot that you provided. It would seem that the format is +xx xxxxxxxxxx. I think the lack of a space between the first two numbers and the others is causing the error. The following is a screenshot to serve as an example:

 

 

 

Please feel free to update me if this does the trick and gets you back to business. Wishing you well.

Welcome to the Community, @SaidZ. I'm here to help with entering your phone number into QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

Just to clarify, are you using a QBO account that's set to your region? The reason for asking is that the software has set requirements for phone numbers based on this. Should you be using a version different from your region, I'd recommend canceling your current subscription and signing up for an account from your country's website

 

If you're using an account configured for your region and are receiving this error, I suggest clearing your browser's cache. Temporary internet files and cache are stored to optimize loading times, but too much data can accumulate and cause unexpected behavior. For additional insight into this, as well as the necessary steps, please see the following article: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.

 

Additionally, it would be good to manually enter the phone number and ensure that there isn't any extra spacing as that can cause this error as well.

Dear David,

Thank you for the prompt reply. I tried to cancel but there no bottom to cancel, there is only subscribe. Anyway, I made subscription using my country (Oman), the subscription was successful but unfortunately my account is showing the old one that I created and same issue persist, It cannot me allow to update the profile of the company showing"Invalid company phone number". Please advise

Its ridiculous that a phone number cannot be formatted with spaces in it!

Currently, you can enter phone numbers in these formats:

  • (XXX) XXX-XXXX
  • +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX
  • 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX

I am using QBO Essential in UAE. I am having issue in entering my company phone number and Tax Registration number. Please help me on this issue as soon as possible.

Hello again, zaidy.

 

You can use this format for your phone number: +971 x xxxxxxx. About your TRN, I would recommend contacting our email support. That way they can check to see why your can't enter yours.

  1. Click on Help and choose Contact us.
  2. In the description box, enter cannot enter TRN in QuickBooks. Then, click Let's talk.
  3. Click on Send Email.

None of these formats as listed above work for the Client Contact Information screen:

  • (XXX) XXX-XXXX
  • +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX
  • 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX

This is a standard US phone number, but I get a red exclamation point regardless of how I format it.
