We can check to see if the behavior you're experiencing is triggered by the browser you use.
A good way to start is to log in to QuickBooks in a private browser to block your cache from saving data. If you can work on your clients' files, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. If not, please try other browsers like Edge, Safari, Chrome, or Firefox to isolate the case.
