Is it possible to add comments to Customer Balance Details reports by customer as it is in QB Desktop?

Hi there, Niklas1.

I'd like to share what I know about the Customer Balance Detail report in QuickBooks Online.

Adding comments by customers would also be a great idea in QBO. However, this option is unavailable, and we're unable to run a report you want to add comments to.

You may want to export the Customer Balance Details report to Excel. From there, we can create a new column for adding comments by customers. Let me walk you through exporting this report. Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports on the left panel.
  2. Enter the report's name in the search box.
  3. Customize the report as much as you want.
  4. Click the Export icon and select Export to Excel.

Also, you may want to check out this article: Memorizing reports in QuickBooks Online It's one of the helpful features in Quickbooks that saves a report with its current customization settings.

If you have other questions about QuickBooks Online reports, please let me know. It'd be my pleasure to assist you further and provide you with accurate information. Stay safe!
