Is it possible to disconnect a few apps that were connected by a former user?

I need to connect and launch an app, but cannot because it was already connected by an employee who is no longer with the company and whose user profile has already been deleted.

Hi there, @m2persaud

Yes, you can disconnect an app in QuickBooks Online. You can even transfer the app ownership to another user.

Here's how to disconnect a third-party app to stop the functionality:

  1. Select Apps.
  2. Go to My Apps, then find the app you'd like to disconnect.
  3. Select the Action drop-down arrow, then select Disconnect.
  4. Finish the quick questions.
  5. Click Disconnect.

For future reference, you can check out this article to get more insights about transferring app ownership in QuickBooks.

Please let me know if there's anything else you need concerning VAT. I'll be around for you. Thank you!

Unfortunately "disconnect" is not an option. It says "this app was connected by another user", and doesn't give me any options.

I'll make sure that you'll be able to disconnect them, m2persaud.

You can have the current master admin disconnect the third-party apps in your QuickBooks company for you. This user type has the highest level permissions and has access to every part of the QuickBooks account.

However, if they're still unable to see the Disconnect option, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, we'll be able to pull up your account and in a safe environment and disconnect the apps for you. Here's how to connect with us:

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Select Talk to a human.
  3. Enter "Talk to a human" again in the search bar.
  4. Choose I still need a human, then click Contact us.
  5. Select Get a callback or Send a message to start a conversation.

In addition, I've included some resources that will help you in managing the connected third-party apps and services:

Feel welcome to reach out to me again with any concerns or questions you may have. Have a great rest of the day.

Is it possible to disconnect a few apps that were connected by a former user?

So now I've been told that the only way to disconnect them is to contact each company individually and ask them to disconnect from Quickbooks. This can't be correct??

Is it possible to disconnect a few apps that were connected by a former user?

I am also trying to disconnect an app (Connect to PayPal) that was added by a former user.  Even though I am now the only Admin user, I cannot disconnect it.

I spent 90 minutes on the phone with QB support.  In the end they said contact PayPal.  After spending 30 minutes with PayPal they said it's not their app, they don't support it so QB has to fix the problem.

Help??
