If you have QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus, you can use the Standard user. This type of user has different levels of access (All, None, and Limited to Customers and Vendors). To add the user, here's how:
Go to the Gear > Manage Users.
Select the Add user button and choose Standard user as the type.
Click Next and select the access rights (All, None, and Limited to Customers and Vendors).
Hit Next and set up the user settings.
Enter the new user's name and e-mail address and click Save.
An email invitation will be sent to the user. Have them accept the invite, so they can sign in or enter info to create a new account. For more details, you can read this article: Add, delete, or change user access.
For QuickBooks Online Advanced, you can add a Custom user. This allows you to control specific access to areas in QuickBooks Online. For example, you can allow a custom user to see only the Bank Deposit screen.
