Is there a way to customize the budget report to use "current month" or Year to date"? "Custom date" does not allow me to auto distribute these reports.

I appreciate you for reaching out to us here in the Community, @jamesmangold3360.

Currently, an option to auto-distribute the report using the current month or year to date is unavailable. As a workaround, you can export the data to Excel and combine the separate reports manually.

I'll guide you how:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Open the budget report.
  3. Set the Report period fields and click on Run report.
  4. Click on the Export icon button and choose Export to Excel

I appreciate your input, and I'll make sure to let our product engineers know about this. We often update the features in QuickBooks Online, and this preference might be added in the future.

While we assess this, I suggest you visit our QuickBooks Blog to stay up to date with all the changes.

Also, I recommend the following resource, which contains a video tutorial to help a user learn how to customize reports: How to Customize Reports: Basics, Sorting & Date Ranges.
