Hi there, @dishllc.
As this time, you'll have to manually expand or collapse the rows to the saved custom reports.
I know how seamless your work will be if you can save expanded or collapsed rows in custom reports. But I want to let you know that your voice matters and I'm submitting feedback directly to our product engineers for consideration.
For now, you can visit our blog site so you'll be able to get the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.
Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I've got your back. Have a great day.

Thanks for the reply. I hope that you're able to add this feature eventually!
What is really annoying to me is that i get my report collapsed just right, and then when i change a setting, it expands everything again. Very frustrating. It needs to let us set it how we want it and then leave it alone unless we say.
