Is there a way to setup several dba's under one business account in Quickbooks?

How do I include a DBA into the legal company name?

If the d/b/a is the same business and using different names - yes

if they are different businesses no, they have to have their own company files and each business files its own tax return, multiple schedule C's are permitted

You will have to customize the templates, and hard code the d/b/a address etc on the temple for each additional d/b/a.  you should also consider creating a class per d/b/a to track sales under each.  Again only if the d/b/a's are all  the same business

IRS Pub 583, Page 5 - must keep separate books per company

and for sole proprietors
IRS Pub 334, page 40 - "If you have more than one business, you must figure your net profit or loss for each business on a separate Schedule C."
IRS Pub 334, page 45 - separate schedule C for each business

If all your DBA's fall under one and only one FEIN you can treat each DBA as a Class within quickbooks.  But if any report under a different tax ID you must keep each one's data in a separate company.

To a non accountant that is misleading IMO, a sole proprietor uses the same social security number for all businesses of that type.  And if they did get an EIN as a sole proprietor, they only get one, good for all sole proprietor endeavors.

It is only when a sole proprietor has payroll, excise tax etc that EIN's change per d/b/a

The only thing I see misleading is I should have said Reporting Tax ID instead of FEIN.  A sole proprietor can have an EIN separate from their SS even though they never will have employees. Some places it is required just to open a business bank account

It's still not the same reporting ID

each business files a schedule C, the same reporting ID is used on all of them, regardless of it being an ssan or an EIN
