Is there something I can do to ensure that specified names in journal entries are subsequently reflected in ledger reports for those accounts?

Journal entry specifies vendor using drop down functionality, however the ledger report that contains the entry shows "-" under the name. Aim here is to enrich accruals with vendor names for clarity.

Thanks for sharing your query today, Dan. I'll help explain why the names from the created Journal entries do not appear in General Ledger (GL) reports.

QuickBooks relies on the source and targets to build company and financial reports. This means the data you see on every report is derived from the details of its source transaction.

I'll always be available in this thread if you require additional assistance running reports in your file. Just keep me posted below, so I can provide further help. Keep safe and have a good one!

@Dan-Lindberg  You can use functions that aren't Journal Entries to enter your transactions.

That's about it; QB reports and Journal Entries have had a long and unhealthy history.
