Ive been locked out of my account because i switched to regular quickbooks. 3 hrs, 5 phone calls all disconnected trying to get access to my information, now they closed

i can't get the self employed side to give me access to my information. i switched to the regular due to 1099 and vendor processing and discontinued my subscription last month. i was told that i would have access to my info for a year. but all i get is a renew my subscription page. and now its after business hours for help and the hung up on me while i was holding. for over 30 minutes

Let me share some insights on how data files are handled after subscription cancelation, @Jrsutton1964.

 

Depending on your subscription, QuickBooks can give its users a one-year read-only access to their data files after cancelation. However, QuickBooks Self-Employed accounts are immediately locked out after the cancellation is confirmed.

 

I can see that you've already reached out to our QuickBooks Online support. However, it would be best to contact directly our QuickBooks Self-Employed specialist. This way, they can provide you a temporary access to your account so you can download your data out of the program.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  2. Enter the same keyword (Talk to a human) when prompted. 
  3. Click I still need a human.
  4. Select between Message an agent and Get a callback.

I've got steps and info to ensure you can log in to your account, @pirani2404.


Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the sign-in page, and then choose I forgot my user ID or Password.

  2. Enter your phone number or email address, and then select Continue.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. You'll receive an email with your user ID if you used your email address to verify your account. 
  4. In case you don’t see an email within an hour, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still don’t have the email, you’ll need to request your user ID again. 
  5. If you don’t have access to the email you used when you created your account, you can send us a request to recover your account.

If the same thing happens, clear the data so you can use your new password. This way, your browser will delete the saved old log-in info. Then, close your browser and reopen it.
