Why do I get this error? Where do I enter password?
Where do you enter the Password???

When matching receipts, there's no need to enter a password since you're already signed in to your account. I've done some research into this error message you're receiving to see what I can find out. Looking through our ongoing/solved investigations, currently there's no record of this notice being displayed while trying to match a receipt with another record.
Given the way this error is worded, it's possible your session has expired. When that happens, you'll be logged out of your books due to inactivity. I'd recommend at least testing this by logging out manually from the screen you're presently on, then signing back in. After you've completed a fresh sign in, try to match your receipts again and see if the same error message is presented.
If QuickBooks continues asking you to enter a password while trying to match records with each other, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care Team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment and initiate a screen viewing session to better see what's going on. Additionally, they have the ability to create an investigation ticket if necessary.
Here's how to contact them:
1. Click the Help (?) icon.
2. Choose Contact Us.
3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
4. You'll be presented with a few options for connecting with Intuit. Select Start messaging or Get a call.
Make sure to review our support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
I'll be here to help if there's any other questions. Have a great day!
