Memo in report field is empty how to fix

The Memo/Description column on reports derives its information according to the type of report that you are viewing.


The main reason why the Memo column/field on the report is blank is that there are no details entered on it. To resolve this, you can edit the transactions and enter the appropriate information from the Memo/Message on statement section accordingly.


Here’s how:

 

  1. From the Report page, select the transaction.
  2. Under Memo box, enter the information.
  3. Press Save after.

On the other hand, we can perform some steps to determine if it’s caused by unexpected behavior. QuickBooks Online collects cache files to save you time while loading repetitive information images. These files can sometimes become outdated/corrupted, leading to unusual issues like missing details. 


You can open your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser for testing. Here are the key shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl+Shift P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+Shift+P


If it works, you’ll want to clear your main browser’s cache. By doing so, can help the program run faster and more efficiently. You can also use other supported browsers except for Internet Explorer as an alternative.
