If you can't see the Downgrade your plan option on the Billing & Subscription page, we can go directly to our website. Just check out this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/. Then, choose the Simple Start plan by clicking the Buy now button.
Once done, let's go back to the Billing & Subscription page to make sure your subscription is downgraded.

If you have to open a new QBO account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 6 months. If you purchase from the trial account or downgrade the plan, you have to pay the regular price.

I followed these steps it did not downgrade me it created a new company with none of my data. What do I do now???

You might have opened or created a different company when trying to downgrade your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription. To single this out, let's open the correct company using the Switch Company option. Here's how:
