When I am in QB mac desktop and click on the payroll button it opens a window for for online payroll log in but then it disappears and I'm unable to log in. Of course I cannot get phone assistance, and the help is only available AFTER I log in which I cannot do. Help?

I'm having same problem. I have QB ONLINE FOR MAC DESKTOP. I have always the icon to open it. Now when I open it asks for my password every time. It only did this occasionally before. I sign in, it won't open and just spins. I see in the directions below it says to reset the app and clear the cache. Will this erase all the data.

Unusual behaviors, like spinning circles and unresponsive pages/windows, are caused by the accumulated cache in the app. To isolate the issue and improve the system performance, you can clear the app data.
Resetting the data is the equivalent of starting the app as a clean slate as if you've just logged in for the first time. It won't erase any data or records in your company file. I'll show you how:
Additionally, please mark the Stay Signed In checkbox upon signing in to keep your credentials. This way, QuickBooks won't constantly ask for a password every time you open it.
However, if you still see the spinning circle, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the app to start over fresh. It could be that some components of the program are damaged causing this issue. If you're using the QuickBooks Online Windows and Mac desktop apps, these are no longer supported since April 20, 2021. Please browse this link to learn what computer and browser to use: System requirements for QuickBooks Online, Accountant, and QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I also suggest clearing the browser's cache and cookies, like once a week. It'll help remove histories and will increase the speed of the data being transmitted when accessing a feature in QuickBooks.
