Generally, an account is suspended when there's been an issue with processing the subscription payment. This might be caused for multiple reasons, such as an expired credit card.

 

You can fix this and resubscribe by following these steps:
 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online from a MAC.
  2. You'll be prompted to enter updated credit card information if your credit card has expired.

 

If you still can't sign in to the QuickBooks Online app, please contact us online.

I was told my subscription needed to be updated but I have not been able to do this online. I need to have a person guide me through the process.

If you're referring to updating or changing your payment method, you need to sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin. Then, proceed to the Billing & Subscription section to update your billing details.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Account and settings.
  2. Select the Billing & Subscription section.
  3. Next to your payment method, click the pencil icon.
  4. This will launch the Wallet list. You can edit, add, and switch your billing details from this view.
  5. After saving your change, the payment method will display on the Billing & Subscription page.

 

If you want to resubscribe your QuickBooks account, you can follow the instructions below on how to do the process.

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click the Gear icon ⚙.
  3. Under Your Company, choose Account and settings
  4. Choose Billing & subscription. Then, select Resubscribe and enter the updated billing information.
  5. Click Subscribe.
