Not able to save a new user created

QuickBooks Online has usage limits. It affects how many users you can add to your account. If you're using the Essentials version, you can only add three users. While in the Plus version, you can have five. If you've exceeded the number of users, you're unable to add more. It can be the reason why you're unable to save them. You'll have to manage them. First, check if you need to keep the other users. If not, then you can remove them. However, if you still want them to access your account and you need to add more, you'll want to visit our website and upgrade to another version to increase the limit.

 

Although if you haven't exceeded the limit yet, it could be you're encountering some browser hiccups. It can also be one of the reasons why you're unable to save a new user. We'll try a few steps to fix it.

 

Let's start with opening QuickBooks Online through an incognito window. It's the best place to isolate web issues. These are the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you're able to add a new user using the private browsing session, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. We always advise our users to delete them periodically. It prevents and fixes web issues.

 

Moreover, you can use a different web browser. It could be the browser you're using has issues with our program.
